Your list arrives by 10 AM Central, usually by 8:30
Usually by 8:30 AM Central, 9:30 Eastern, 7:30 Mountain, 6:30 Pacific — always by 10 AM Central. Why not 6 AM? The radar hail map we rank from is NOAA's official record of the night's storms, and it covers a full storm day that ends at 7 AM Central during storm season (6 AM in winter). NOAA posts it a few minutes after that, and our check starts at 7:20 AM Central. We then pull the night's National Weather Service reports, lay the hail over every mapped home in your area, rank the streets, check the list and send it. Earlier lists exist, but they're built on half a night of radar and miss the storms that roll through before dawn. We'd rather your crews start at 8:30 on the right streets than at 6 on the wrong ones. On the rare morning NOAA posts late, we tell you rather than guess (Terms §6).

What the Storm Guarantee is, and how it's counted
What it is: on Annual and Territory Exclusive, every market has a Storm Guarantee number — 10, 7 or 5 storm mornings a year, set from that market's own storm history and shown above when you pick your market. If your market gets fewer than that in your membership year, your next 12 months are free when you renew. How it's counted: a storm morning is one storm date on which NOAA radar estimated hail of 1″ or larger, or the National Weather Service logged 1″+ hail or 58 mph+ wind, anywhere on your market's map — whether or not it hit your own ZIPs. Each date counts once; tornado-only and damage-only reports don't count. We count from the official NOAA and NWS record, so a morning our system missed still counts. Your dashboard shows the running count. It's a free year of service, never cash, your membership must be paid and active all year, and the free year doesn't itself earn another. Full wording: Terms §5.
Questions before you buy? Text (512) 893-4910 — you'll get a real person, not a support queue.
A hail map shows where hail fell. Someone still has to turn that swath into a street list before the crews roll out. StormRoute does that step for you: the streets in your service area ranked by hail size and how many homes line them, in your email after the storm. If your current tool already does that, you may not need us — open your market's free sample and compare the two side by side.
Is this a lead list?
No. It's a ranked list of streets where radar and ground reports put the hail or wind. It tells your crews where to knock first. Who's home, and whether the roof is damaged, is for your inspection to find out.
Can my competitor buy the same list?
Yes, unless you hold Territory Exclusive: we don't cap standard memberships in a market. With Territory Exclusive, no other member receives street lists or report points inside your ZIP codes for any storm from your start date on, while your Territory Exclusive is paid and current. (Storms from before your start date — free samples and members' past-storm archive — stay visible.) If another member takes a ZIP inside your area exclusively, you stop getting street lists and report points there (you keep the storm summary and storm map); we email you within 5 business days, and Annual or Territory Exclusive members can cancel within 30 days of that notice for a pro-rata refund of the unused term; Month-to-month members can cancel before the next charge.
How many streets do I get each storm?
Each storm morning: up to 10 ranked hail streets for each area you set up (up to 25 on Territory Exclusive), with each street's hail size, about how many homes, and whether an NWS report was logged within 3 miles, plus where 58 mph+ wind was reported. The free sample for your market shows the same format for a past storm.
Which market do I buy?
Each plan covers one market. Pick the market your crews work most; ZIP codes that sit in two markets (for example between Dallas and Fort Worth) can be in your service area under either one. Working two separate metros means two plans, and Territory Exclusive's 10-ZIP maximum is per market. Not sure which fits? Text us your ZIPs and we'll tell you before you buy.
How fast do I get started?
After you pay online, Stripe sends you straight to your welcome page: save your member code (it's shown once, and it's your login; no password), tap the ZIPs your crews work on the map, and add up to 10 crew emails and a phone number for door hangers. The morning check runs daily at 7:20 AM Central, starting the next morning. Each storm's list then comes to your email and your dashboard. Lists are built automatically once NOAA's overnight radar data is in; delivery timing isn't guaranteed (Terms §6).
How do I cancel?
Paid online? Tap Cancel in your dashboard's Account tab; it opens Stripe's billing page. Or email [email protected] or text (512) 893-4910 — no call, no retention pitch. Month-to-month stops before the next charge and runs to the end of the month you paid for. Annual and Territory Exclusive run for the full term you paid for. All sales are final; the only exception is the exclusivity case in our Terms §5.
Who's behind StormRoute?
A small software business in Austin, Texas, just opening to its first members. You deal directly with the person who built it, by text or phone, not a ticket system.
More questions (10)
What doesn't StormRoute do?
StormRoute shows where hail and wind fell, never whether a roof is damaged — that still takes your inspection. Lists are built automatically each morning, once NOAA's overnight radar window closes, with no hand-editing. Each street shows whether an NWS hail report was logged within 3 miles — your ground check. A morning with nothing to rank gets report points or a no-storm note, never a guessed list (Terms §2.1).
Why is Territory Exclusive limited?
To keep every market fair. Each ZIP counts by how often hail has hit it over the last 7 years, so a ZIP that gets hail every spring counts for more than a quiet one. Exclusives can never add up to more than a quarter of a market's total (every market can still have one Territory Exclusive). Nobody can lock up all the hail-heavy ZIPs, at least three quarters of the market's hail stays open to every member, and everyone always sees the full hail map.
How are streets ranked?
We lay the radar hail swath over mapped homes. Hail size counts most (the score squares it), then how many homes line the street, plus a boost when an NWS hail report of 1″+ was logged within 3 miles. Each street's hail is the biggest radar estimate within ¾ mile of it, so a street with slightly smaller hail and many more homes can outrank a near-empty one. On wind mornings the email lists where 58 mph+ wind was reported.
Where does the data come from?
NOAA's radar hail estimate (about 1 km resolution), National Weather Service storm reports, and building footprints from OpenStreetMap — so home counts are approximate. A "home" is any mapped building within about 400 feet of the midpoint of a mapped segment of that street name inside the storm area (same-name streets in the storm area are combined, even miles apart), so detached garages and shops count too; read it as the street's size, not a door count. Hail sizes are radar estimates, which can run larger or smaller than the stones on the ground; each street shows whether an NWS hail report of 1″+ was logged within 3 miles (your ground check) or it's radar only. A storm's biggest hail sometimes falls on fields or shopping centers, so the #1 street is the best mix of big hail and many homes, not the storm's biggest hail.
Why does one street show 800+ homes?
Long streets get long counts. A street's home count is every mapped building within about 400 feet of the midpoint of each mapped segment, along the whole stretch that runs through the storm area — not only the part under the biggest hail. The hail size beside it is the biggest radar hail within ¾ mile of the street. On a long avenue, check the storm's hail map in the app for where the core crossed before you send the whole crew down it.
What about wind and hurricanes?
There's no radar product for wind, so wind comes only from National Weather Service reports. On wind mornings your email lists the NWS wind reports of 58 mph+ (measured or estimated) in your service area. Damage-only and hurricane reports appear in the free past-storm samples, which also show the streets near them. Wind coverage is only as dense as the reports the NWS receives.
Is it worth joining in the fall?
Yes, this fall more than ever. Opening season: join Annual or Territory Exclusive by February 28, 2027 and your paid year starts March 1, 2027, so every storm list until then is included at no extra charge, and your market's last 2 years of storms (3D view, street map and ranked lists) open the day you join. Annual runs 12 months from March 1, 2027 for opening-season members, and from the day you pay after that. If your market gets fewer storm mornings in that year than its Storm Guarantee number (10, 7 or 5, set from its own storm history), your next 12 months are free on renewal. Only want storm season? Month-to-month lets you join for just those months, but five of them cost $5,250 with setup, more than a full Annual year.
What about tornadoes?
The next-morning list covers hail and wind. Tornado paths are surveyed by the National Weather Service in the days after, so tornado streets go into your storm archive: the streets inside the surveyed path, or within a quarter mile of it, ranked together with that storm's hail and wind streets (homes on the street times storm strength, so an EF3 path counts more than an EF0). Archive storms open three weeks after the storm. Where no survey was posted, the archive shows streets within about a mile of the NWS tornado report and says so. Each street is tagged with its evidence, and you can filter to hail, wind or tornado streets. Your crews still inspect every roof.
What time does the storm list arrive?
Usually by 8:30 AM Central (9:30 Eastern, 7:30 Mountain, 6:30 Pacific), and always by 10 AM Central the morning after a storm. NOAA's official overnight hail map covers the full storm night and posts a few minutes after 7 AM Central (6 AM in winter); our check starts at 7:20, ranks your streets, runs two independent checks and sends. If NOAA's data is late or missing, we email you to say so instead of guessing.
Does it connect to my CRM or canvassing app?
Not yet. The list arrives by email, and it works alongside whatever alert or canvassing tool you already use: your tool says hail fell, StormRoute says which streets to start on.
What area does my plan cover?
The ZIP codes you tap on your market's map at setup, where your crews actually work. Change them any time in your dashboard's Area tab (Exclusive ZIPs stay put); changes start with the next day's check. The 7-year storm map always covers the whole market.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Everyone in your company signs in to the dashboard with your company's member code, and the morning list goes to up to 10 email addresses (we approve ones added after setup, for safety). The code and the lists stay inside your company.
